Character Lookdev Artist - Senior

ABOUT THE JOB


As part of the Stim team, you will work in direct collaboration with the Art Director and other key stakeholders of the studio.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Participate in the character look development process (Character Lookdev) to achieve the desired aesthetics and mood.
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director, character designers, and other departments to ensure consistency and homogeneity of character appearance throughout the entire production.
  • Learn and adapt to artistic and technical standards to guarantee the quality of the work.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the animation and/or visual effects (VFX) industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of Maya, Houdini, Substance / Mari, and Arnold.
  • Strong understanding of color space, color management, shading, lighting, and rendering methods.
  • Good understanding of industry standards, conventions, and formats to ensure successful completion of work.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills within a team environment.
  • Experience leading a team, with the ability to motivate artists, provide constructive feedback, and build a positive team dynamic.
  • Fluent in French.

 

NICE TO HAVE

 

  • Fluency in English.
  • Skills in designing and troubleshooting complex, new, and existing tools and workflows.
  • Knowledge of Python, pipeline, processes, tools, and 3D production techniques.
  • Experience with Gaffer.
