Matte Painting Artist - Senior

Project: Girl in the Clouds – Animated Feature Film

Location: Lyon-Angoulême, France / Liège, Belgium / Remote 

Contract Type: Freelance or CDDU
Duration: 2 months
Start date: Early March

ABOUT THE JOB

Be part of the environment team as a matte painter!
We will create and produce powerful, high-quality backgrounds for Girl in the Clouds. We have a strong team spirit and we are looking for a great painter.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS

• At least 5 years of experience.
• Loving art / moods / shot's lighting and their photography.
• Experience in patchwork for animated films
• Ability to create something visually based on a specific style.
• Strong eyes and a deep understanding of the matte painting process.
• Capacity to understand the artistic direction and ability to address notes coming from supervision.
• Perfect knowledge of Photoshop.

NICE TO HAVE 

• Knowledge in compositing (Nuke)
• Knowledge of CGI (Maya, Blender, etc.)

ABOUT YOU

• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in French. Ability to speak and understand English.
